Works On
BloggingGhana’s Election project, Ghana Decides 2.0: The VOICES Campaign. The project seeks to promote youth and marginalized voices towards a peaceful, credible, issue-based and inclusive elections.
Reports to
The Ghana Decides Lead.
Job Summary
Coordinates project activities for Ghana Decides 2.0. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in the implementation and execution of Ghana Decides in accordance with the project’s Results Framework. He/she will work closely with the Social Media Manager and the entire Ghana Decides Team.
Key areas of responsibility
- Coordinates project activities in accordance with the Results Framework and other strategies of Ghana Decides
- Assists with the management of Ghana Decides’ day-to-day operations
- Coordinates the work of the various sub-teams of Ghana Decides
- Assists with project strategy development, project goals, planning and brainstorming
- Ensures Ghana Decides’ work promotes Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI)
- Manages scheduling and communications between team members
- Manages scheduling and coordination of offline engagements
- Produces reports, updates and project documentation
- Assists with the production of project reports.
- Assists with monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Assists with financial processes and budget reviews
- Develops relationships and collaborations with traditional media, civil society organizations and other key stakeholders to further project’s work
- Develops key relationships with BloggingGhana members
- Ensure effective coordination and information sharing among key partners and collaborations
- Coordinates procurement of materials and resources
- Seeks, monitors, documents feedback and assists with evaluation of project activities
- Compiles activity and monthly reports
- Provides content to STAR-Ghana and donors in timely fashion
- Attends workshops, conferences and other events on behalf of the project
- Provides help for social media coverage
- Other duties pertaining to the project
- Other duties pertaining to BloggingGhana, as assigned.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in project implementation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent languages skills in English and at least one Ghanaian language.
- Strong computer (Excel, Word, etc) and Internet aptitude
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills along with critical thinking and good decision making abilities and ability to collaborate
- Self-driven with a positive attitude
- Able to rise up to a challenge
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written format
- Is a dynamic Team player with confidence to take lead and guide others when necessary
- Can learn how to use new tools quickly.
- A proactive decision-maker in a fast-paced environment
- Excels at building and maintaining relationships with key communities
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Demonstrates good customer services techniques. Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply swift conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
